Washington Conservatory Washington Conservatory of Music is a nationally accredited, nonprofit community music school serving children, teens, and adults in the Washington, D.C. metro area, through individual lessons on all instruments and voice, group classes, camps, and ensembles taught by highly-credentialed educators and professional musicians. Teaching is in-person and online. WCM also provides free professional concerts for the community and the Tapestry Music Project, an outreach music program for underserved children.

Washington Conservatory of Music is dedicated to fostering the joy of music and guiding students of all ages and skill levels to reach their personal musical potential. WCM was established as an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit community music school in 1984. The school was first accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music Commission on Non-degree Granting Institutions in 1991.

The Washington Conservatory of Music is pleased to announce an exciting array of in-person and online learning opportunities for 2022. All classes, camps and workshops are taught by our outstanding faculty of performing artists and highly trained music educators.
Ensembles

Open to amateur adult musicians of all levels, the WCM Community Orchestra provides participants the opportunity to learn and perform both traditional and lesser-known orchestral literature with like-minded avid adult musicians in a friendly professional atmosphere. The orchestra performs three public concerts each year.
Concerts

We proudly present online performances and live music in the community with give-what-you-can admission!. A professional concert series featuring internationally acclaimed musicians and WCM's outstanding faculty artists. Concerts are held monthly, October-May, at Westmoreland Circle.
