Life, Inc. is a music school in Crystal Lake owned and founded by Theresa Villec. A music teacher with 20+ years of experience teaching in public and private schools, Mrs. Villec opened Music Makers in 2006. Music Makers currently provides lessons for over 100 students from 7 teachers and 2 locations as of 2022.
Private Lessons
Report
Singers learn about diaphragm usage, vowel placement, breathing techniques, and singing fundamentals. Learn your preferred style, whether it's opera and art songs, religious and gospel, Broadway and pop, or a mixture! Students read music and tablature as they play melodies and chords on either acoustic or electric guitars.
Piano Classes
Report
It's a positive approach that includes games to reinforce concepts, and this is our primary method. In addition, students learn songs and techniques from Alfred's Basic Piano Method. Original methods and motivators, such as our Music Money system, and songs, developed by Theresa Villec, are also incorporated into the lessons.
Guitar Classes
Report
At Music Makers, our guitar classes are comprehensive and fun! Our method is derived from different traditions and approaches to give students a well-rounded education on guitar, who will enjoy the ability to play familiar melodies after just 1 month! Students must bring their guitar, whether it's acoustic or electric.
