Sawnee School of Ballet has 4 bright and spacious studios with raised flooring and imported marley, 2 seated waiting rooms, view in of classes and additional accommodations. Sawnee School of Ballet is a proud member of I.D.E.A., NDEO, Dance Studio Owner, and is Acrobatic Arts certified. The studio is fully devoted to providing dancers of all ages an encouraging environment where they are given the opportunity to grow and excel in their dance education.We strive to deliver the highest quality of dance training, while nurturing each student's unique gift of talent and creativity.

Established in 1990 under the direction of Joan Kall Stewart, the Sawnee School of Ballet is recognized in the Cumming dance community for its standard of excellence. Classes are taught with enthusiasm by an outstanding faculty of experienced, caring professional instructors and are presented in a manner appropriate to the age and development of the students.

Summer

Sawnee Ballet offers multiple options for summer dancing fun! We have fun and energetic camps for dancers ages 2 - 18. Payment of 50% required upon registration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our front office. Your dancer will love dancing through the pink sky to Pom Pom Unicorn's Magical Carnival on a Cloud!

Classes

Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. We keep these little ones moving with ribbon wands, bean bags, bubbles, hula hoops and more. This is a great introductory class for dancers that have little experience in group activities, are new to a classroom setting, or are not quite ready for a 45 minute long session.

Attire

Ballet slippers are not fitted or sized the same way as street shoes. They should not be too loose or too tight - they should fit like a glove. Our preferences are Bloch or Capezio. Please have your child's instructor check the fit of the shoes prior to your child's wearing them. Elastic should be sewn onto the shoe. To find the right place, fold the heel of the shoe in. The crease that is made at the side of the shoe is at about the right place.
