Musical Arts Center The Musical Arts Center is a community-based music school located in O'Bryonville/Hyde Park serving the Greater Cincinnati area. The highest quality music education programs are offered for all ages. Private lessons are available in traditional/contemporary study of voice, piano, strings (including Suzuki violin/viola), guitar, and percussion instruments.

Also available are private and group study in drama, many optional hours of master classes, and theory and sight-singing at no charge. Recital and other performance opportunities give students numerous experiences for growth.

Rosalind Resnik enjoys her work as piano instructor for students of all ages, and coach/accompanist for the Young Artist Preparatory Program here at MAC. She feels it is a privilege to work with MAC's talented high school singers as they prepare music for competitions and college auditions. Prior experience includes teaching at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), and at the Preparatory Department at CCM-UC, as well as developing her own teaching studio.In addition, she has directed children's choirs and numerous children's and high school musicals at churches, including Godspell, Joseph, For Such a Time as This, and the Cotton Patch Gospel.

Karl Resnik has been teaching voice since 1973 while he was in graduate studies at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. As a lecturer on singing, he has given workshops and clinics from Alaska to Florida; presented lectures at universities and colleges throughout the United States; and has consulted with organizations such as Paramount Parks, Disney World, and Sea World on voice health and voice building issues.
Faculty Spotlight

The Arts Educator Award promotes and rewards excellence in arts instruction throughout Greater Cincinnati. Students nominate an educator through video submission that describes the impact the educator has had on his/her students. Winners receive $2,500, and two Honorable Mentions will receive $500 each.

The Overture Awards is a program that recognizes, encourages and rewards excellence in the arts among tri-state students, grades 9-12. Its mission is to encourage arts education as an integral part of a student's academic experience and to create an environment that encourages training in, and appreciation of, the arts.
