Music & Theater Lessons for All Ages in Boulder, CO
Founded in 2002, we envisioned a world where music and theater education would be accessible to everyone. Over two decades later, we remain the largest stand-alone music education organization in Colorado, serving over 600 students weekly while extending our impact through outreach to 8,000+ individuals monthly. Our programs break down barriers through tuition assistance, school partnerships, and specialized initiatives for neurodiverse communities and intergenerational groups. We offer personalized instruction for all instruments and voice, complemented by performance opportunities ranging from recitals to full musical productions. Our faculty combines technical expertise with a commitment to nurturing artistic growth at every stage of life. Through M.O.R.E. for Colorado, we provide critical support to under-resourced school music programs, creating a ripple effect of improved academic outcomes. Our Julies Program brings transformative musical experiences to individuals with developmental disabilities, while our intergenerational initiatives connect communities across age spectrums. Every aspect of our work reflects the belief that music and the arts are universal languages capable of uniting diverse populations. We measure success not just in musical proficiency but in the strengthened communities we build through shared artistic expression. Our governance structure combines dedicated volunteer leadership with strategic partnerships that amplify our impact across Colorado.

Parlando has been a music school choice for our daughter for the past 2 years and it's been awesome! The piano teachers we've had are well qualified (some PhD students), the school offers creative classes and experiences not offered elsewhere, such as: group piano classes, acapella singing classes, as wells as semester recitals where students can measure up to their peers.

Parlando School has a great faculty. My daughter starts there when she was 2 1/2 years old in a Summer Camp. It was so good because it open her curiosity for violin and since then ( now she is 8 years old),s he has been doing private lessons of violin. Not only that, but also she had done voice lessons, group piano lessons and now she is completing her 3 year on piano private lesson. Every class we had participated, just reassure our highest opinion about this school. We % recommend it.

Parlando is the best music school in Boulder, Colorado. We have taken music lessons there for 9 years and also attended their amazing summer camps. I have three children, all of whom have taken piano and instrumental lessons through Parlando. As a child, I received a rigorous music education and wanted the same for my children. By all accounts, the school has been a great fit for our family. One of my children prefers a relaxed pace with popular music selections, one of my children enjoys a rigorous classical repertoire with periodic competitive opportunities, and one of my children enjoys a wide range of music selections and a balance between competitive and lighthearted play. Parlando meets the needs of each of my children and ultimately, has given them the joy of music.
They have a quality music faculty who are skilled musicians and teachers, many of whom have masters and PhDs. They will also teach lessons in your home for a nominal fee. This place is simply the best -- check them out. You will be thrilled.

I have two kids that have been a part of Parlando for the last couple of years. My daughter now in high school takes voice lessons and my son in elementary school takes piano lessons. All of their instructors have been excellent and my kids love them! It has been awesome to see such growth in their musical skills as well as their overall character and for that I give great thanks to their instructors. Marnie Ward teaches voice and has gone above and beyond to help my daughter with her musical theater interest from helping her prepare for auditions, music and scene selections, stage presence, voice development and even attending some of my daughters performances.
We have also been a part of the musical theater productions which have been a fantastic experience! Directors Kristen Brown and Marnie Ward were outstanding with the casting and production of Little Women.

Both of my children have been taking lessons with Parlando for a few years now. The teachers I've worked with have always been friendly and patient with my children, as well as willing to work with our schedule, even when my son switched instruments and had to have a new instructor. My daughter also tried out a voice class and now wants to take lessons in both voice and violin! If the schedule would allow, I'm considering adding some lessons for myself too.
