Guitar instruction is offered as a weekly 30 or 60 minute private lesson on electric or acoustic guitar. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons are available in a variety of different styles such as rock, pop, classical, metal, r&b, christian, and more.

We have had the best experience at Fishkill music academy! My daughter takes voice lessons there with Tayla who is wonderful. Besides voice, they have so many other things to enjoy and choose from :) The staff is the friendliest, especially Christina who works at the front desk! She helps us with literally everything. My daughter joined with no prior experience. Her teacher has been amazing and learns at her pace. He is interactive and meets her where she is each lesson. As a parent who does not know much about music they make it easy to encourage her through practice and be able to assist her outside of lesson. If she is sick she gets a lesson from her teacher to work through when she is feeling better.
The location is clean, nice and staff are very friendly.
She has now been with them for over a year and still gets excited for class. It has been the best decision we have made!

My son and I have been students at the New Windsor Music Academy for over a year now. I was a complete novice to playing any instrument while my son had played the baritone in middle school. We chose to learn to play the guitar, and found New Windsor Academy on the Internet. We have been very pleased. Our instructor is patient and helpful in addressing our disparate learning styles, and is always able to find common ground on which to build.
This could be difficult with 35 years difference in our ages but the lessons are entertaining and informative, with many tangents but ultimately a single musical thread. The weekly lesson not only teaches us the skills of playing the guitar but also pushes us to continue to progress. I cannot put a price on how valuable the experience of learning guitar has been for me.
