At Kingwood Arts Academy of Music, we proudly provide in-person, in-home, and online music lessons for students throughout the Greater Houston and Kingwood, Texas area. We welcome learners from as young as one year old through adulthood, offering personalized instruction for every skill level, from beginners to advanced musicians. Our customized lesson plans are designed around each student's goals, interests, and musical preferences while encouraging confidence, cognitive development, and emotional growth in a positive and engaging environment. We offer instruction in early childhood music, piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, drums, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba, and additional instruments. Families also appreciate the convenience of scheduling multiple instrument lessons on the same day, with instruction available in either English or Spanish. Our experienced instructors are highly qualified, passionate educators who create an inspiring atmosphere where every student can thrive while developing lifelong musical skills.We understand the demands of busy family schedules, which is why we remain open seven days a week throughout the entire year and provide flexible scheduling with unlimited make-up lessons. If attending in person is not possible, students can participate online or request a video lesson, ensuring that every paid private lesson is received. Our month-to-month enrollment allows students to join or leave whenever it best fits their needs, with no contracts or semester commitments. We further support progress through our customized incentive program that encourages consistent practice, optional free recitals held twice each year, and lesson studios equipped with professional-quality instruments and technology. Beyond developing musical ability, we emphasize a growth mindset that strengthens resilience, confidence, and personal development, helping every student enjoy a rewarding and fulfilling musical journey.

My son is autistic and has worked with many instructors over the years, so patience and understanding are extremely important to us. Andres is truly one of the best teachers my son has worked with. He understands that every child learns differently and meets my son exactly where he iswhether his mind is moving fast or needs extra time.
This is a wonderful place to bring your kids, and we will absolutely continue coming back so my son can keep having fun while learning. My son loves coming here and enjoys learning the piano. We highly recommend this place for kids.

My boys have been taking music class here since they were 2 years old. They are both so musically inclined and enjoy music everywhere we go. The pitch when they sing is so beautiful that it truly warms my heart. My oldest is currently learning piano and he really enjoys it. He started with Mariana, who was so intentional and caring with him during their year together. He currently works with Julia, she is so calm and you can tell she really cares. My oldest is really hard on himself when he doesnt pick up something easy, but how she allows him to embrace his emotions and redirects with love is truly amazing. My middle son works with Amelie, and she is also a gem. He is 3 and if you have toddlers, you know how their attention can be, but no matter his attention span or mood of the day, he still has a great time and learn something. They often sing the songs from classes and find music everywhere. He is currently loving the guitar and when he is older, we plan to start those classes.
I think its important to mention how amazing the owner, Josan, has been. I have watched him grow this academy and it has been an incredible experience. We get feedback from every lesson, early communication on changes, a newsletter for updates, videos, and pictures. They even have a music camp! The quality of care is consistent across the board for all of the teachers (I know because when we have substitutes my kids still have a great time) and I know that has to come from quality managing.
If you want your child to not only learn, but truly enjoy musicsend them here. I am sure we will be here until they graduated high schoolits really that great.

This Academy is run by Josan Pinto who employs integrity and humility in his work. All students progress at their own pace and level and are given the freedom to explore so that truly enjoy what instrument they are learning. The patience and positive reinforcement displayed by Kingwood Arts provides the confidence needed to find their own niche. I whole heartedly recommend Kingwood Arts Academy.

Josan really knows how to make guitar classes easy and engaging for kids. My nine and seven-year-old daughters both adore their teacher. As they make substantial progress with the instrument, they also feel like they have a stake in the class, being able to choose some of their favorite songs to practice with. What I appreciate the most about Kingwood Arts Academy, is their capacity to work basic music theory concepts into entertaining and digestible class routines.
Not only is my children’s love of music growing by the day, they are also building the foundation for a comprehensive understanding of music that will serve them throughout their lives.

I highly recommend Josan to anyone looking to learn the guitar. At 39, I was concerned that it would be too late for me to learn an instrument, and Josan showed me that simply wasn’t true. His passion for music is contagious. His teaching style is upbeat, fun, and always patient. He focuses on what I want to learn, never forcing me in a direction I don’t want to go.
Learning an instrument is a big time commitment. Once you’ve met Josan, you’ll know right away that you’re spending that time with someone you’ll look forward to seeing at every lesson!

I have been learning to play the guitar from Josan for about two and a half years and have had a great experience. Along with covering the basics and theory Josan works with me on songs l know and love which makes it enjoyable. He is patient and knowledgeable and provides ideas for how I can fit in practice in my schedule and work on difficult parts of a song.
While we used to meet face to face to learn, we now meet online and I can text clips from my practice in between sessions.
Josan is professional, friendly, punctual and a very nice person to work with. I highly recommend learning guitar with him.
