My seven-year-old studies piano with Mr. B and my six-year-old studies drums with Mr. Daniel. Their instruction technique is wonderfully engaging. My children actually look forward to practicing at home after lessons and are having a great time acquiring a love of music. I highly recommend RMAoM.

I would recommend this place greatly. They have very knowledgeable teachers for quite a few instruments. Ben knows a ton and he has a knack for explaining difficult or complex concepts to novices. He can cover the basics of music theory, and go beyond that very easily. Ben is also great with kids, which is a good sign, and has no problem with older students like myself. He is also very flexible when setting up lessons and even payments. My entire skill set has changed in just a short time, and Ben wouldn't mind if you just stopped by, he has a decent library too!

I signed my 5- and 6-year old for their first formal piano lessons and have only good things to say about this place after many months. Our children have excelled in learning and very much enjoyed the 1-on-1 teaching in the comfortable studios. The location is convenient and finding a schedule that worked for our family was easy. Benito and his staff's playful approach to the piano puts the kids at ease and makes lessons a weekly highlight for us!

5 starts isn't enough to rate this amazing academy! All three of my boys have been enrolled for over a year, ages 5-9, guitar, piano, and percussion. Besides learning music composition from their amazing instructors, they have also gained a new sense of confidence in their daily lives. Benito goes above and beyond with their lessons, and is also very flexible when it comes to scheduling. Hands down, the best music school for adults and children in Colorado.

My youngest has been taking drum lessons from Dan at Rocky Mountain Academy of Music for 3 years. Dan has taught her in a way that is comfortable for her to learn and actually enjoy her lessons. My other daughter asked to take bass lessons as well and loves her lessons. They are very accommodating and I even got an impromptu drum lesson.

The music academy is wonderful! I never imagined that my 5 year old would enjoy getting lessons on a weekly basis as much as she is, and that she would learn as fast as she is. Benito is absolutely great with her even with her (and most kids) propensity for wanting to wander around. Would definitely recommend!

Benito, the owner of Colorado Springs' Rocky Mountain Academy of Music, had substituted for our son's previous piano teacher, and we sought him out to further Zack's music lessons. We are extremely impressed with the balance he strikes between knowing when to push our son to further develop his skills and when to step back a bit. Zack practices each week, now, because he knows that Benito expects it. Zack has high functioning autism and often dislikes leaving our house, but he never argues when it's time to leave for his piano lessons. This is high praise for Rocky Mountain Academy of Music!

The teachers at Rocky Mountain Academy of Music were professional and extremely knowledgeable. I feel like they really listened to me and customized my lessons to my skill level, learning style, and interests. The atmosphere of the studio was open, comfortable, clean and well designed. Overall, I would say Rocky Mountain Academy of Music is the most comfortable, diverse, professional , and caring music school I have attended. I would recommend Rocky Mountain Academy of Music to anyone that is interested in learning any type of music.
