Lessons for violin, viola, cello, upright bass, harp, percussion, all styles of guitar acoustic and electric, theory orchestra, rock and country bands are offered through Project String Power, a 501 (c) 3 corporation. Study with professional musicians both in private lessons and in group settings with monthly recitals and opportunities for performance available at qualifying levels. Several years ago, a small group of professional musicians joined forces with local friends who support fine arts in our community; Project String Power was born. Today, Project String Power offers a unique experience to East Texas in Carthage. Our students, ages five and up (and up, and up), love learning and playing stringed instruments.
Project String Power is the only non-profit music program in East Texas offering quality musical training in violin, viola, all styles of guitar, cello, string bass, bass guitar, guitar, banjo and harp. We believe that every student should have equal opportunity and access to develop skills for playing these instruments regardless of income.
