Hopkins Music

Founded in 2016, Hopkins Music is dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional Texas-style fiddle and guitar techniques. Our founder, Bubba Hopkins, began his musical journey at age 6 and has since earned recognition as a multiple award-winning fiddler, including championships at the Texas Oldtime Fiddlers Association and Colorado State Fiddle Championships. With formal training in jazz violin and saxophone from Northeastern State University, Bubba brings diverse expertise to his instruction. We specialize in personalized music education, offering tailored lessons in fiddle, guitar, bass, and music theory for students of all skill levels. Our services extend to sheet music transcription, instrument sales, and accompanist payment guidance.

Combining decades of competitive experience with a passion for mentorship, we provide both in-person lessons in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, and virtual instruction via Skype. Our teaching methodology incorporates playing by ear, tablature, and sheet music to accommodate various learning styles. We maintain strong connections with Texas fiddle legends who have shaped our approach to both music and life. Our commitment to quality extends to instrument sales, where we offer curated options and consignment services. Through structured lessons and practical industry insights, we aim to cultivate both technical proficiency and deep appreciation for musical traditions.
