Group Music Program
Our group music program for ages 6 months to 10 years builds foundational musical skills through age-appropriate activities. Designed to prepare children for private instruction, the curriculum includes ear training, rhythm exercises, and keyboard exploration. With six class levels tailored to developmental stages, students progress systematically through the program while learning music theory, note reading, and performance techniques.
Private Piano Lessons
Personalized piano instruction develops technical proficiency, music theory understanding, and performance skills. Lessons emphasize proper hand positioning, reading sheet music, and interpreting musical expression. Students participate in recitals and progress evaluations to track development. Lesson durations range from 30 to 60 minutes based on student experience level and goals.
Violin Lessons
Private violin instruction covers proper posture, bow technique, and note reading through structured curriculum. Students learn classical repertoire while developing listening skills and musical expression. Lessons include accompanist support for performance preparation and regular recital participation to build confidence and stage presence.
Voice Training

A master piano instructor with over 75 combined years of experience, Chris earned his Master's Degree in Piano Performance from BYU. He co-founded Art City Music Academy in 1987 and oversees instructor training while maintaining active student teaching.

Yvonne began teaching piano in 1979 and established Art City Music Academy in 1987. With bachelor's degree in Music, she developed the groundbreaking Mighty Musicians curriculum used nationwide while managing academy operations.

Our family has been a part of the Art City Music Academy family for almost 20 years. And it is still the best music instruction I have seen anywhere in Utah. Their curriculum is phenomenal. Their teachers and staff are kind, friendly, helpful, and have become lifelong friends. I am so grateful for the incredible musical foundation they have given me and all of my children. We love ACMA!

I cannot say enough good words about Yvonne and Art City. My boys have learned SO much more than just how to read and play notes. They have a full, rounded knowledge of music theory, composition, and so much more. I am continually impressed by how much further along they are compared to others their age - and it's ALL thanks to this program. We have loved being a part of the Art City Music Academy! Our sons have enjoyed the classes and working with amazing teachers like Ms. Joanna, Ms. Jenn & Yvonne. They have been so kind and patient with their classes and each student. Since starting at the academy earlier this year we are amazed at the progress our boys have made & they've come to enjoy practicing on their own at home. The teacher's enthusiasm, understanding & love of music shines as they teach our children. We just love the program and people at Art City Music Academy and recommend them to everyone!

I have had several kids go through the Art City Music Academy. It has been such a positive experience! My kids have learned music theory at the age of 5 that I didn't learn until my adult years. And it was fun as opposed to my nit and grit style that I endured through the old traditional ways. The leveled learning is done so perfectly that makes sense and is never overwhelming! Every teacher we've had has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. Truly incredible! I HIGHLY recommend!

My daughter attended Art City Music Academy for 3 years now. According to my husband (as he's the one who had learned music in his youth, not me :)), this is the best music school he ever came across. My daughter has learned a lot and plays piano much better than her dad. I am glad to discover Art City Music Academy. It's worth the money and time.
