Business Details
We have been serving the Chula Vista community since 1980, and over these decades, more than 6,000 students have chosen our facility for their musical education. We started as a very small school and have grown to become the largest music school in Chula Vista by offering the widest variety of lessons. Our experience has taught us that true expertise comes from a commitment to continuous improvement and a deep understanding of our students' needs. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities to provide a superior learning environment. Our teaching staff receives ongoing training to ensure we are always delivering the highest quality instruction. We do not believe we are the best simply because we are the biggest; rather, we are the biggest because families consistently trust us as the best choice.
We understand that parents have many options when selecting a music and dance school, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our approach is built on transparency, which is why we invite families to compare our features and options against other studios. We offer lessons for all ages, instruments, styles, and levels, and we warmly welcome beginners. Our voice lessons are particularly popular, helping students gain the confidence to shine in school groups, theater productions, or personal hobbies. We teach a comprehensive range of instruments including piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, saxophone, flute, clarinet, and trumpet. Our goal is to provide students and parents with the best possible experience, from the first lesson to the final recital.

My 9 year old daughter has been going to this school for piano about 2 years now and she enjoys it very much. Right now during Covid, classes are via FaceTime and she's learning pretty well. Although we can't wait for things to go back to normal because she loved learning with the other few kids in person. I definitely recommend this school and appreciate Mr. Bill's flexibility and communication.

We have been here for 4+ years now! We have many other options closer to home, but we would rather make the drive! We couldn't be happier and we love the family feel : Miss Lily is AMAZING -She is The Best! All the ballerinas love love love her and she is so good with them! You can feel the love while she also instructs with discipline. We started piano lessons and couldn't be happier with Miss Alice!
We love that this school is not based on a season semester schedule like most schools, so no long breaks, classes continue without interruptions other than holiday breaks. The recitals are great too, they are split into groups, the duration is perfect and the performers aren't waiting around all day like at most other schools. We are very happy and recommend this music and dance school very highly!

This place is amazing. Our kids have been taking piano lessons from Mr. Bill for about 5 years and have enjoyed every bit of it. He's nice, professional, and most importantly, patient. They have many schedule and instrument options to fit your needs and they are very flexible. Enrolling our kids at Chula Vista Academy of Music has given them much more than the gift of music. They are more patient, more responsible, and more confident than ever. If you're looking at options for music lessons, you should definitely check this place out.

Mr. Bill is masterful at playing piano but I'm highly impressed by his ability to identify the needs of his students. In the little time that my daughter has been under his instruction she has made a lot of progress. Through recitals students are given the opportunity to showcase their learning and build their self-confidence. Coming from other schools where they nickel and dime you for recitals, Mr. Bill is extremely fair and the experience is pleasant and to the point. Also, all performers leave with a special surprise!
