Melanie's Melodies

Piano and cello lessons are for students of any level, from about age four to adult. Weekly lessons are held either in my home studio or online via video call. Most lessons are 30 minutes per week, but I also offer 45 or 60 minute weekly lessons. Some students will benefit from having 30 minute lessons twice a week.

I offer temporary partner lessons for beginner siblings. In partner lessons, we will begin to learn how to identify the piano keys, read some notes on the staff, and perform basic melodies. Partner lessons are best for kids who are close in age, but they can work for any age. Partner lessons are available only in my home studio.

For those who are unable to come to my home studio, I offer individual piano and cello lessons online. I do not teach online partner lessons at this time. We have two different options for online lessons. We can use a video call, using Zoom, Facetime, Duo, Skype, or Facebook Messenger. If either of us has a poor internet connection, or if your student is too young to focus through a full video lesson, we can send recorded videos to each other.

You can log in at melaniesmelodies.mymusicstaff.com to pay for lessons each month, or set up auto pay for your account. I also use Zelle and Venmo. Under my current semester system, you won't need refunds. If you pay for lessons monthly, your monthly payment goes toward a semester total. When making my teaching schedule, I make sure that each semester includes a few more scheduled lessons than the total amount your monthly payments add up to.

We adore Melanie! She's great with the kids, great teacher, experienced, and prepared with the ideas for lessons. Melanie saw that she needed to be challenged and set the bar high and my daughter worked hard to meet the challenge.
