Workshops, gatherings for Beg. /Intermed. Harpers in Maryland
This message is for beginning, and intermediate level blues harp, and Chromatic players in the greater Baltimore, Maryland area as well as for people who would LIKE to start playing harmonica, but are putting it off.
I am Ed J. Kaitz, very small name, if any, in the greater harmonica world, but a Lover, Enthusiast, with some professional experience Teaching beginners and intermediate harmonica skills on the blues harp, and Some professional experience playing harmonica (Big Daddy Stallings Blues Band, working gigs with countless singer songwriters, CDs by Ty Ford, John Seay, Lea Jones, 2 of my own. see music samples (older) at www. bandmix. com/kaitz)
I am putting together regular gatherings this late summer, fall and winter of meetings for other Lovers, Enthusiasts and those who would become such, here in the Baltimore area.
We will be focusing on at least 3 things: 1) Workshops on basic harmonica skills, 2) Outings to hear working professional harmonica (Blues and Chromatic) players in Maryland / DC area, and 3) Occassional Jam Sessions to help beginner players develop their playing chops.

Beginning and Intermediate Blues/Popular (Diatonic) harmonica lessons. Beginning Chromatic harmonica lessons. On the blues, harmonica, I teach the distinct skills necessary to develop higher level, integrated playing. These include breathing, body mechanics, hand positions, chord and single note playing, musical scales in positions 1 - 6, hand and throat vibrato, shakes, draw and blow bending, among others.
