Traditional Piano and Voice students enjoy recitals, public performances, music club and adjudicated events Guitar and Drum students, along with piano and voice, who wish to play Rock-n-Roll, may enter our Rock Academy Projects. This young group of rockers will practice together once a week and attend Gigs through out Central Ohio. See Rock Academy page for more information.
Both in-home private lessons and classes are provided, with recitals being held at Wagnalls Memorial and The Georgian and Central Ohio homes. The Academy of Music Sciences is glad to support the radio program, Passion Music with John Funk on WFCO 90.9 FM. The Academy of Music Sciences International is a non-profit organization of performing artists, parents and lecturers.

Dan and Judy Childers began the business in 1969 situated in downtown Portsmouth originally named Childers Piano and Organ. Within a year or two, guitars, amplifiers and sound systems were added and they became known as Childers Music Center. Childers has been southern Ohio's premier music store and is still managed by the family.

We kicked off our Fall semester last Friday. But it's not too late to enroll. We will accept registrations and prorate tuition up to 3 weeks into the program. At Upper Arlington Music Academy, we understand how critical it is for every student to have a positive educational experience. Since 1995, our studio has been helping Columbus area children and adults evolve their musical skills.
Students of all ages study at Encore Music Studios. Our students are provided individualized private instruction on a weekly basis. Private lesson structure is designed to each student's age and standard of knowledge. Traditional teaching methods involve ear training, note reading and improvisation.
Violinist and teacher Alie Joyner uses a mixture of Suzuki, traditional and fiddling methods to build a wholistic knowledge and well developed skill set for each violin student.

A nonprofit organization providing kids of all ages programs of study in violin, viola and cello, and many performing opportunities including the Suzuki Music Columbus Tour Group. We provide a Summer Suzuki Institute and an active teacher training program, including the Suzuki Teacher Training Internship program.
Jerry Loos began playing guitar in the late 1960's and has played in various bands since Junior High School. He started playing professionally while in High School. It was shortly after graduating that Jerry began giving lessons and continues teaching to this day. He authored a guitar instructional book called The Jerry Loos Guitar Method 1st printed in 1994.

Columbus Music and Art Academy provides professional quality kids's choir, art classes, and music theory lessons for kids ages 4-17 in Columbus and Central Ohio. We currently have the equipment, place and teachers to get you began. We HAVE MOVED both stores to a new location in Grove City. The new address is 2068 Stringtown Rd. It is in the strip mall behind the Wallgreen's. The purpose of our move is to have more teaching rooms. We are very excited about the move! One half hour per week with an expert teacher.
