Northfield Music, founded 1975 has taught 1000's of students how to enjoy making music on guitar, electric bass, piano and drums. We are situated in the village of Pittsford NY in the shopping district known as Northfield Common. We currently have 13 music teachers on team and 9 teaching studios.
KINLOCH NELSON, a solo fingerstyle guitarist/singer, creates a synthesis of folk, jazz, classical, American popular music, and original compositions. His programs vary from J.S. Bach to the blues and may include references to Miles Davis, Schubert, Flatt and Scruggs, The Ventures, and the occasional TV theme. Kinloch Nelson started performing in 1969.
Dori's Music Studio has been in business for over ten years. We supply music lessons along with a huge range of music books, accessories, and instrument rentals. The studio has eight teaching rooms, a waiting room and currently includes students from Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Greece, Hilton, Spencerport and other school districts.

In 1995, Alice Kay Kanack moved back to her hometown of Brighton, after having spent ten years teaching and performing in New York City. The Kanack School has a faculty of about 20 well-educated and highly esteemed musicians and dancers.
