In September of 2003 Village Music opened its doors to the public in the historical Lynwood Center on Bainbridge Island. It began as a show place for the custom instruments built by the owner, Alan Simcoe, and a string shop, specializing in classical guitars, their repair and teaching. The store speedily outgrew its space.
Island Music Guild has changed its name to Island Music Center. Our Web, E-mail and mailing address are still the same, as is our aim: to enrich lives through music, and to advance the quality and accessibility of music education and musical experiences in our community.
