The Bay Head School of Ballet & Violin is committed to the study, appreciation and enjoyment of classical ballet and music. Located in the centre of the pretty seashore town of Bay Head in a 100 year old Victorian residence, the school provides classes to all ages in an atmosphere of old world charm and elegance. David Cohen is a multi-instrumentalist who performs on the classical & flamenco guitar, Chinese pipa, Turkish oud and Highland bagpipes. David was born in Philadelphia in 1961. His study of the guitar began after hearing the music of Joan Armatrading in 1976 and a friend likening her guitar playing to that of a classical guitarist.


Most of all it teaches us how to have FUN! It is rhythmically located on the subdivisions of time into fractions, which must be done instantaneously. It requires fantastic coordination of fingers, hands, arms, ankles, and legs, in addition to extraordinary control of the back, chest, arms, and leg muscles. These are words that come to mind when I think of The Academy of Drums.
