It's fun to learn to play piano. I teach beginners of all ages in my music studio off Rt. 174, about 12-15 minutes from downtown Grass Valley.
Bassist with Mose Allison, Marian McPartland, and lots of other great musicians over the years, I will play tunes with you, help you with the basics or help you refine your playing. We'll have fun while we play.

I teach all ages, all levels from beginners to advanced. I teach the Suzuki method plus Celtic, Bluegrass, Blues, and Jazz. I also teach viola, and mandolin. I play in the Sierra College Orchestra plus I am in a gypsy jazz band that plays standard jazz tunes in the style of Django Rheinhardt and Stephane Grapelli. Foggy Mtn Music store is the prodigy of a long line of musicians. My mother Marilyn Doty Sorci was a child prodigy of San Francisco with the Violin. She studied with Michael Piastro and Hifits just to mention a few. My Dad Joseph Sorci played Woodwins in San Francisco during the big band era and toured with Alex Storgal, Tommy Dorsey to mention a few.
