Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent. Musicians who study many musical styles often discover that each style uniquely informs their understanding of music. I enjoy learning and teaching music in a range of styles, including classical, jazz and contemporary, and my students often enjoy the mix and definitely gain from what each piece of music has to provide.
