The methodology is built on aural learning, playing the pieces by ear. The method teaches students to be more attentive to the sounds of the music they are making, since their ears are working more than their eyes! Note reading is studied, but is not emphasized as much as the aural learning. Suzuki listening CD's are used to reinforce the aural stage of the method.
