Greetings and welcome to this page! If you are just beginning to explore the guitar or bass guitar, or have been playing awhile and find it difficult to 'get to the next level', it can be a bit overwhelming about where and how to start to seek out instruction and aid. I understand and have been there at different times in my individual musical journey.

Clara Tarpley was a piano teacher in Wellington, Texas in the early 1900s, and started selling pianos in 1917. In the 1920s she started selling pianos out of a hardware store in Shamrock, Texas. During the 1920s, Pampa Texas was a booming oil town and Mrs. Tarpley decided that was the place to be.

Kimbo reunites with his friends, violinist Joan Kwuon and violinist/violist Joel Smirnoff, for a one-of-a-kind treat: The husband-and-wife musicians will duet with Kimbo on the podium, then Maestro Smirnoff will lead the Symphony in Dvorak's spectacular \ New World\ Symphony.

Amarillo Music Teachers Association AMTA will have our fall kick-off meeting on Saturday, September 12. Other meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Regular meetings will be at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Coulter. Following a delightful program presented by scholarship students from Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University, President Paige Brown called the meeting to order and led in the reading of the Collect.
