VoicePlus - Boston, MA

VoicePlus is a service offering instruction for voice, beginner to intermediate piano, music theory, songwriting, and vocal improvisation. All ages are welcome! The lessons can be in your home or mine. As a convenience to you, I offer to drive to students' homes in the greater Boston area: Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley, and Weston. References are available upon request.

Jessica graduated from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia) with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. As a graduate with honors, she was also the recipient of the Voice Faculty Award. After graduation she moved back to her home state of Maine where her original song,"That Girl", aired on 98.9 WCLZ in July, 2009.

Jessica has performed in numerous venues in and around Philadelphia and Portland, Maine, such as Merrill Auditorium, the Kimmel Center, and the Academy of Music. She performed with the Philly Pops and the Opera Company of Philadelphia and as a soloist with the Main Line Symphony Orchestra in Villanova, PA. She has worked for workshops focusing on vocal jazz ornamentation, quality of performance, and songwriting.

Shaun Lewis Voice lessons - who would have thought I needed them after being a vocalist and songwriter all these years? After going to so many different coaches and music teachers, I finally found one that not only is in touch with the history of music, but also is in touch with the current status of the industry. Jess got me straight to the basics within ten minutes of my first lesson. I discovered I haven't been using my voice to it's full potential of range. I even have a decent bass register, which I never knew how to use properly. My friend who I brought with me to one of my lessons, not even a singer, wants to take lessons now after seeing how well Jessica conducted my lesson! My song writing skills immediately improved. She is worth every penny, and I mean every penny. Her price is hard to beat. Very impressed with her musical roots, also vocally talented herself.....like the song I wrote 'Finally I Can Put a Name to Beautiful'.
