From Our Website
We have provided music instruction and cultural enrichment to over 15,000 students and music lovers throughout the Tennessee Valley and surrounding areas since 1998. Our holistic approach to the development of the total student through the medium of music, coupled with excellent teachers who care about their students in conjunction to providing fun filled activities, provides an environment that is conducive for learning and enjoyment. Our goal at Valley Conservatory is to give our students "A Complete Music Education Experience, " through the discovery, integration and dissemination of knowledge.
Valley Conservatory gives its' students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies, AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder SystemŽ. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder SystemŽ" wristbands that they can show off to their friends. This system is not just for the younger students.
Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country, and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. In addition to weekly lessons, when applicable, guitar students participate in recitals, Huntsville Study Music Club Junior Festival of the National Federation of Music Clubs and other various adjudications, competitions and festivals. Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading, and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song.
Please plan to login 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled lesson time to allow our VC Team to greet you before placing you in the virtual room with your teacher. We do suggest getting everything set up the day before your lesson. You can log on (between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm) and check your video and audio with the office. You will not be placed in a room at that time but will interact with the front desk. This is just to work out any technical issues before your actual lesson. Please be sure the camera in your device is activated.
All of our brass instructors either hold bachelor, masters or doctorate degrees in music and/or performance equivalent in their instrument. In addition to weekly lessons, students participate when applicable in recitals, District Solo and Ensemble Competitions, District and State Band Festivals, Huntsville Study Music Club Junior Festival of the National Federation of Music Clubs and various other adjudications, competitions and festivals. Our brass teachers are excellent music educators and have performed with the Valley Conservatory Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, and Shoals Symphony, in addition to various national ensembles including the United States Air Force Band, Washington D.C.
