Paul Burd has been my son’s piano teacher since September of 2006. My son has learned more piano in those eight months of instruction then he did in eighteen months with his prior teacher.

Paul incorporates all of the important aspects of a musical education in his instruction including technique, rhythm, arrangements, music reading and writing, as well as history. I feel our son gets a complete and balanced education from Paul.

Always professional and on time to his lessons, Paul also shows a sincere interest in my son’s development as a musician. Paul treats my son not like a child but simply like a student of music. He has high expectations and is both supportive and critical in helpful ways. He challenges my son to improve without pressure or degradation.
