Everyone is welcome! We offer lessons in all instruments and voice, as well as music therapy. Our teachers are highly trained and specialize in all types of learning:
1) Intro to Music (2-4 yrs)
2) Beg-Adv Lessons for Youth (5-12 yrs)
3) Beg-Adv Lessons for Teens (13-17 yrs)
4) Beg-Adv Lessons for Adults (18-54 yrs)
5) Older Adult Learning (55 and over)
6) Music Therapy for ADD, ADHD, Autism, TBI, and other learning & physical disabilities.
7) Music Therapy for the elderly and handicapped.
We are wheelchair accessible.
Our students learn to play faster, enjoy lessons more and stick with their instrument longer. This is because we custom-tailor each lesson to the student's learning style and personality. You and/or your child will be playing right from the start and will be set up to enjoy a lifetime of music.
Our teachers stand apart through their commitment to give each student a unique opportunity to experience the amazing effects that come with taking music lessons. Students come away with top-notch musical training, as well as increased confidence and self-esteem, enhanced brain and body function, and a greater appreciation for something we can all connect with - music.
We go through an exhausting screening process to find and train teachers who are musicians, not musicians who want to "teach" on the side. We also have Music Therapists on staff for working with children and adults that have learning disabilities and special needs.

Perfect Absolute Pitch: Our Greatest Mission
We consider our greatest contribution to every student and potential musician is the opportunity to work with us develop perfect absolute pitch (AP), or relative pitch recognition in every student. teVelde Music, Inc. specializes in helping students learn to hear "in color". It has long been thought that AP can only be taught before the age of 6, otherwise the ability is lost forever. We are breaking new ground by being able to teach AP to students of ANY AGE! Our teachers specialize in developing this ability in all of our students.

Bonnie teVelde

When Bonnie teVelde founded the school, she learned that most music schools lose 80% of their new students in the first year of lessons. She decided to research the reason for those failures, and came to believe that each student has a unique and individual learning style. She developed a test that could identify these learning styles, and administers it to all new students. All teachers have already been tested, so it becomes easy to match the student perfectly to the teacher. She has further discovered that each individual has an instrument(s) that they are uniquely suited to learn. Matching the right instrument, and the perfect teacher, to the student, is the key to this school's unprecedented success! TM is the Most Highly Recognized School within 300 miles, with over 11 Honor Roll, Excellence in Teaching Awards from the American College of Musicians.
It is a personal passion of Bonnie teVelde to figure out how to teach every student exactly the way they learn. An expert in the development of the brain and music, Ms. teVelde is continually evolving the teaching styles at teVelde Music. She is currently developing new methods that can be applied to several critical areas of learning including the following: 1) Music education for the very young student, ages 0-4 years, and specifically what to do to dramatically increase the incidence of Perfect Absolute Pitch, 2) Brain development of school-aged children, and how to enhance learning and motivation at these ages, 4) Left Brain Dominance vs. Right Brain Dominance, and how to teach each style effectively, 4) ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspbergers, and other Learning Disabilities, and how to work effectively with them, and 5) Working with Personality and Learning Styles, specifically, how to recognize and pair students of specific types with teachers that will work most effectively with them.
