TSMSTE is open to all qualified music students and musicians who successfully pass the audition. With a continuing commitment to sharing our musical talents with the community, we have given numerous concerts in retirement and nursing homes, and participated in many significant Howard County events, most recently Columbia's Big 50th Birthday Celebration at Lakefront stage, Howard Community College, the Mall in Columbia, Wilde Lake Village Center [including its 40th birthday celebration as Columbia's oldest village].
The Suzuki Music School of Maryland, Inc. offers Lessons and Enrichment Opportunity Classes on a year round basis to ensure musical continuity and to serve as a motivation to keep up practicing. Music And Arts Camp At Wilde Lake, one of our unique summer opportunities. This one-week all-day camp is open to all instruments and voice by audition. The Suzuki Music School of Maryland, Inc. (SMSMD), celebrating thirty years of service to the greater community, is the oldest and most established music school of its kind based in Howard County. As a college preparatory music school [with increasingly higher standards] we serve over seven counties in Maryland plus Washington, DC. We continue to create an increasing variety of musical opportunities in the form of private lessons, classes, and performing ensembles [TSMSTE] for the whole family and community at large.
If you have trouble focusing during in-person or group classes, it may be hard to retain skills or get the practice you need to master vocal or instrumental techniques. For some people, online instruction via FaceTime can bolster the student's concentration and focus. For example, since your mobile device, smartphone, tablet, or computer will be a dedicated screen to video instruction, you won't have to worry about outside distractions. The one-on-one or small group structure will also allow you to get more individualized attention from your instructor.
The Suzuki Music School Touring Ensemble, Inc. (TSMSTE), a Non-Profit organization, is very proud to announce its FORMAL EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP with the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) which took place on April 30, 2007 at a 'PARTNERSHIP SIGNING CEREMONY' with Bryant Woods Elementary School (BWES). Both had been working together since the Fall of 2006 and we presented our first collaborative Showcase Concert that year on December 17th at Vantage House Retirement Community which also resulted in a Concert Photo that appeared on the cover of the COLUMBIA FLIER!
This well-established music camp, now a Maryland tradition, is sponsored by The Suzuki Music School of Maryland, Inc. Based on previous success, we will again include the concept of Interactive Levels where accomplished students (pre-qualified music interns) assist beginning campers for part of the day. We believe this challenges, expands and focuses the skills of the accomplished students to share their knowledge and expertise with students just beginning their music educational experiences, and is a fun and motivating opportunity for all.
