Services
Summerglen Music serves the Raleigh, NC area with high-quality music education, live performances, and band instrument sales/repair. Summerglen Music specializes in offering extracurricular wind band programs designed especially for third, fourth, and fifth grade students. We are in the process of post-pandemic rebuilding, and plan to re-establish band programs at 3-4 local schools for the 2022-23 school year. We welcome all 3rd-5th grade students to join our bands, and your child does not need to attend the school that hosts the band.
At Summerglen Music, giving exceptional service to our private music students, colleagues, and audience members is our top priority. If you're trying to decide whether Summerglen is a good fit for your musical needs, feel free to listen to some of our satisfied clients' experiences. My son John has studied trombone with Christina at his elementary school, and more recently with private lessons through Summerglen.

Christina loves on the instruments like they're her own. She enjoys the total process of dissecting the problems, taking apart the instrument (in this case a 1935 coronet), cleaning each piece carefully, tapping out dents to bring back optimal sound and what not. I know this because she explained what she did, and what I was paying for. She's incredibly affordable and wonderful to work with. I give her ten stars!

As a professional clarinetist and private instructor in the Triangle for 20 years, I can honestly say that Christina Thompson is an incredible resource for instrument repair. She is highly skilled, knowledgeable, incredibly responsive, willing to sit with you and fine-tune everything to meet your needs, and just a friendly, considerate person to work with.

I'm extremely picky when it comes to my instruments and I've been thoroughly impressed with her work. Her availability is incredible and there's been an occasion where I needed something fixed quickly and she was more than happy to help me out. Give Summerglen Music a try for your next repair and I promise you will be as pleased as I have been!
