The Stafford Music Academy is committed to providing high-quality music lessons in Bloomington, Indiana to both children and adults. Established in 2005 by Bloomington native Christopher Stafford, the Stafford Music Academy is now owned by Jessica Harris. We are proud to say that we have helped bring music to thousands of lives. Our instructors' priority is to get to know you or your child personally so that they may tailor-fit the music lesson to your needs and desires. Some of our teachers are professional musicians, while others are current or graduated students of Indiana University's esteemed Jacobs School of Music.

Lessons Report

When you sign up for lessons, you will sign up for the same time slot each week. On the 20th of each month, we will automatically renew your enrollment for the following month, and charge your debit or credit card for the number of lessons in the coming month. This hassle-free "continuous" enrollment ensures that A) you don't lose your time slot by missing any deadline, and B) ensures that we receive payments in a timely fashion, helping us keep costs low.For student-canceled lessons, we will provide one free makeup lesson per month, provided that we receive four hours' advance notice via email (phone messages are generally not checked outside of business hours, which are 2-7, M-Th, and 2-6 F).

Staff Report

Jessica has been the owner of Stafford Music Academy since August of 2012. She holds a Master of Music Education degree from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music as well as a Bachelor of Music in flute performance and a Music Business Certificate from Northwestern University. She also holds a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the University of Louisville.

Retail Report

The Stafford Music Academy carries a wide assortment of method books from Hal Leonard, Alfred, FJH, and Kjos. We also carry a small selection of student guitars, both electric and acoustic, Manhasset music stands, tuners, metronomes, guitar picks and strings, and many other basic accessories.

My kiddo really likes Ben her guitar teacher, she's picked up quite a lot in the few months we've been there. They have super friendly and accommodating staff as well.

Don't play music myself, but I know the owner and she is very passionate about her business and her clients. I would definitely recommend if you have children of various ages looking to perfect their craft!

Great music lessons for our kids. The many instructors are all friendly and knowledgeable. Rates are reasonable and staff works very hard to accommodate scheduling of siblings.
