Greg Daley has been recording, playing and teaching guitar, bass and rock ensembles for over 25 years. He studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he studied guitar, bass, music theory as well as all aspects of music. He recieved degrees in Music Production/ Engineering and Music Business Management while at Berklee. Since relocating to Portland in 2000, he has helped launch the music careers of several talented students. He has also played in numerous rock and jazz bands over his career.
"Greg is a great teacher. I studied with him for about 4 years. He teaches you music theory that is key to progressing as a musician, he also applies it to songs that you like and wanted to learn."
Seven years ago, I marched into my first lesson with a sixty dollar bass in one hand, and tuition money in the other. My lessons only lasted about a years time, but that was long enough for me to become entirely proficient with any technique either of us could come up with (a few inventions along the way). The teaching method was great, and taking lessons with Greg opened up many doors I never would have encountered otherwise."
"[Greg's lessons] finally paid off seeing that my band just won the MAMM Rockoff. This therefore officially made us the best young band in Maine... AND i'm slappin bass! It's pretty awesome and it wouldn't have happened without your lessons!"

You know what you want to achieve as a player and you want results. I can help you achieve your goals by guiding you through this process. Whetheryou are just beginning, want to achieve greater proficiency in techniques or work on a particular genre, let's do it together. I took up guitar in my mid-fifties with absolutely no musical ability. Although intimidated by the prospect of taking lessons I signed on with Greg. Greg worked with me for two years playing the type of music I wanted to play.
I took guitar lessons from Greg for several years. He really helped me discovery the type of style I enjoy playing which is rock, jazz, and blues. He is great at mixing in theory and chord progression with improvisation. Greg was also able to get me into a band with other students and we were able to play several local shows as well as record one of our original songs. Greg helped my songwriting flourish and I still use techniques that I learned from him today.
