Gus is a terrific guitarist, & clearly knows his theory & practical techniques and is able to give tailored guidance that you cannot get from the You tube videos. I have gained greatly from his lessons and am making weekly progress when earlier I had thought I had hit a wall & would not progress anymore given my talent levels. Remote lessons with his tech studio work great too - so it's pandemic friendly & time saving.

Gus is not only a great teacher but he's also extremely versatile in his playing ability. He can play and teach any style of music that can be played on guitar; so in my 6 years of lessons with him, we covered a range of different genres including rock, acoustic, metal, pop, punk rock, flamenco, and anything else that I wanted to learn. Gus can teach you all of your favorite songs but most importantly he can teach theory, and other playing techniques.
He lets the student guide the way so if you have a kid who would get bored of learning scales, they can just learn fun songs they love until they actually want to learn scales. If you want to take it more seriously he will be there every step of the way as well. Gus also absolutely shreds like nobody I've ever seen before.

The first time I emailed Gus, I asked him, "Can you get a 58 year old to learn how to rock?" He said, "Absolutely!" His lessons got me playing the blues in any key, learning that Jimi Hendrix is my personal guitar god, and that anything is possible! What's amazing about Gus is that while metal is his forte, he has mastered and can teach so many other styles including Bossa nova and funk. Gus is is an extremely patient teacher who is very understanding when it comes my trials and tribulations with the guitar.
He knows just how much to push and when to tell me to chill out. Gus is not only an awesome guitar teacher but I consider him a good friend as well. Highly, highly recommended.

I took lessons with Gus for 2 years having never picked up a guitar before, starting with acoustic and moving to electric. We've covered everything from basic chord progressions, to popular riffs, to soloing techniques, to scales and modes. Gus is patient and pays close attention to very minor details which others have overlooked. In addition to playing music, Gus has shown me tools to facilitate my learning experience such as how to use different pedals, amps, tuners, metronomes, pickups, string gauges, apps, and a host of other devices to create the sounds I want to hear. I would recommend SINARO Guitar Lessons if you're just picking up a guitar for the first time or if you're advanced and trying to perfect a technique.

I have been taking lessons with Gus for almost 2 years now, and am more than happy with my experience. I am exited each week for my lesson and always have a good time. Gus is always prepared for our lessons and continues to push my playing into new directions. He is very knowledgeable on music theory subjects, as well as proficient in a wide variety of playing techniques.

Before I started lessons with Gus, I wasn't sure how to become more than an intermediate guitar player. He instantly picked up exactly where I was in my playing ability, faster than anyone had before. Immediately, he taught me the most helpful ways of visualizing the fret board I've seen yet. We covered huge amounts of material, from scales to sweep picking to economy picking to wacky chord progressions for improvising over, to breaking down the most complicated Dream Theater and Symphony X songs so I could play them on my own. Thanks to him, I now have the confidence to tackle any song, any technique, and any genre I want too learn how to play.

I've worked with Gus for two years, I've gone from someone who could play a few songs on the guitar to having a robust knowledge of various techniques with the confidence to learn new styles. We focus on everything from metal, blues, rock, classical, along with music theory, scales, techniques like finger tapping, hammers/pull-offs, soloing, and muting; the list goes on.
We mix up our sessions between theory and scales, and songs and riffs that make each week a new experience. I look forward to my lesson every week and think he is the best teacher for students of all skill sets and ages!

I found Gus through web when searching for guitar lessons for my son. I contacted Gus and started lessons early January. After only 5 lessons my son went from never playing a guitar to playing progressions and some riffs and extremely excited about learning how to play guitar. Both I and my son are very pleased with Gus as a teacher and someone that has a huge guitar experience across all types of music genres: rock, metal, classic, Bossa Nova, Blues, etc. I highly recommend Gus.

I have had guitar teachers in both NYC and LA and Gus is the best by far. As an intermediate player, Gus has helped me with subtle nuances that other teachers don't notice or don't teach. His knowledge of Metal and Metal Techniques is top-notch but can also teach almost all types of music on guitar.
