Ryan offers drum lessons for all ages and experience levels from a university educated professional drum teacher. Ryan teaches from his home studio in SE Denver, at Denver Music Tree in Park Hill, at My Music School in University Hills, and in the homes of his students. Ryan's specialties include snare drum, drum set, and double pedal among many other aspects of drumming. Ryan customizes every lesson to the individual, 4 year old beginners to 51 year old established players have all learned something new. Ryan has even worked with blind, disabled, and cognitively impaired students.

Ryan holds a degree in music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has taught drums at Crested Butte Middle School, Louisville Middle School, Aspen Academy, Noisy Neighbor Music, My Music Skool, Denver Music Tree, and out of his own home in Bellingham, WA and Denver, CO. Ryan has been signed to Candlelight Records and has released an album worldwide as well as toured professionally in the US. He is also the author of Double Bass Drumming Explained, an instructional text.

We are very happy with Ryan as our son's drum teacher. Ryan has been teaching my son for over a year now and we really appreciate him as a person and teacher. He's very knowledgeable with drums and makes my son feel comfortable in learning new beats. Ryan has always been professional yet friendly and my son enjoys the time they get to spend each week practicing. I have always appreciated the flexibility and accommodation Ryan offers for my middle-school son's ever-changing school/extra-curricular schedule.
