As a jazz vocalist I look forward to singing with Robert at the piano. He brings out the best qualities in my performance. Robert is not only encouraging but he is inspiring. A wonderful teacher, accompanist. He is truly a musician's musician!

What a wonderful, talented, patient piano teacher! Robert has it all! My son has been taking lessons with Robert since he's four years old, and now he's ten. He's learned so much from Robert, from playing the piano, to reading the music. Robert has the unique ability to make learning fun! My son was not the best student (especially when he was four years old), but Robert was always able to work with him and miraculously teach him something new! My son looks forward to seeing Robert for his lessons each time, and has become a great little piano player! I highly recommend Robert!

Professional and personable were two qualities in an instructor that I looked for and found with Mr. Lepley at Grand Piano Studio. I admire the way he treats his young musicians. He has high expectations for his students while providing them theory, music history, structure, guidance, and a little bit of humor at each of his weekly lessons.

When our sons' piano teacher had to go on a hiatus we wanted to make sure their lessons went uninterrupted. We also wanted to expose the boys to jazz and improvisation. So we came to Bob with the understanding that we would leave after a 2-3 months. That was a year ago and we are still with Bob, even after we resumed the lessons with our regular teacher.

Our sons have very different learning styles, strengths, temperaments and musical leanings. Bob found individualized approaches to both our kids, and they look forward to every lesson with him. He is a versatile pianist and a warm, thoughtful teacher who challenges and cares about his students. We wholeheartedly would recommend him.

It is difficult to learn something as an adult, and I have always wanted to learn how to play the piano, but found it hard to read notes. Bob uses a unique approach and his patience has given me the opportunity to try to learn something I have always wanted to do.

A superb jazz pianist, he's also an excellent piano instructor. I have been taking lessons with him for the last 8 years, and have learned a great deal and much profited from his guidance.

I'm an adult piano student. I met Robert at a time while I was seeking to learn the basics of Jazz piano, when I'd seen him playing in one of his regular trios. Aside from learning more than I thought I would in less than 3 years of working with Bob, and improving my playing overall, I have experienced the pleasure of hearing him and several of the musicians with whom he plays. Bob's patient yet encouraging approach has enabled me to digest the myriad aspects of music theory and practice at a pace that is comfortable yet always challenging. As I continue to learn, I become more confident that I'm on the right track with Mr. Lepley!

Robert Leplay is a patient knowledgeable piano teacher. My daughter took piano lessons starting at an early age of 7 till 15 years old. He encourages your children to keep at it and to practice. My daughter is a senior in high school and she plays the piano every day she loves it. I recommend Robert very highly to teach your children or adults to love music.

My daughter has been coming here for over 7 years. What captivated us is his talent and teaching style. He teaches much more than just playing from a music sheet. He teaches the art of music, improv and how to find your own style.

I first heard Robert play keyboard a number of years ago while he was performing with his trio. I thoroughly enjoyed what I was hearing. I have a classical background d and also played club dates but no jazz. Tried teaching myself but not much happening there.tried other players but could not grasp what I need to know. Fortunately, for me, Robert also teaches.and teaches well.answers all my questions, no matter howhat elementary.

He holds nothing back.seems to want me to achieve my goals. I am learning.a lot! If playing piano, any style, is what you want, I recommend Robert to children or adult students
