From Our Website

Several years ago, a small group of professional musicians joined forces with local friends who support fine arts in our community; Project String Power was born. Today, Project String Power offers a unique experience to East Texas in Carthage. Our students, ages five and up (and up, and up), love learning and playing stringed instruments. They also love the fascinating variety of musical styles our instructors teach. To join Project String Power, you must be at least six years old. All instrument lessons are $25 for a 30 minute lesson given once weekly.

Project String Power's mission is to provide all residents of East Texas the affordable opportunity to learn to play a stringed instrument; to develop the skills required to play professionally; to prepare students to play as part of an orchestra, rock band or country band and to prepare students to pursue music as a career if they so choose.
