From Our Website
Since 1982, Project STEP (String Training Education Program) has provided talented young musicians that identify with historically underrepresented groups in classical music with comprehensive music instruction. Students in Project STEP's Core program receive sustained, individualized training for up to 12 years on violin, viola, cello, or bass (with instruments provided by STEP). Most weekly training occurs on Saturdays during the academic year in practice rooms at Symphony Hall or the New England Conservatory (NEC), and in teachers' private studios.
Project STEP takes pride in the achievements of our graduates. Their accomplishments are a source of inspiration not only to us but to other incoming Project STEP students and their families. Every year, we are reminded that Project STEP's impact goes beyond the years our students are in a classroom setting and we would like to thank our alumni for their continued support. Received his Bachelor's in Music from the Juilliard School and his Master's Degree at Longy School of Music of Bard College.
