Established in 2020, Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio in Greensburg, we focus on teaching students of all ages to be real musicians. We employ world-class instructors with a focus on learning the fundamentals behind music, so our students can fully connect with their instruments. Our instructors create a friendly and safe environment so the students get the most out of their lesson.With offerings in piano lessons, voice lessons, guitar lessons, trombone lessons, trumpet lessons and more, you can be sure to find the right instrument to learn music with us. Our instructors teach virtual lessons and in person lessons, with most of our in person lessons being located in Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

We develop our students so that they are able to read music, understand and build chords. Our goal as teachers is to give the necessary tools so that our students can continue to teach themselves. With the proper guidance, anyone can pick up an instrument, and we have confidence in our ability to provide you with these tools and guidance. We stand behind our quality instructors and offer all new students a free, no obligation trial lesson. If you aren't satisfied with your music lesson you can have a free trial with another teacher or simply let us know you weren't satisfied and we promise not to bug you ever again!
We opened our studio to be a safe, welcoming space to learn music. As not only a Black-owned and female-owned, but also an LGBTQ+-owned studio we strive to keep a diverse offering of instructors and are welcoming to ALL students. Not only do we offer a free trial lesson for everyone student, we also feature both in person lessons and virtual lessons. On top of music lessons we also often host masterclasses, both in person and online, and have two recitals per year, to give our students performance experience. Summer specialization courses are also available for anyone, with reduced rates for those already studying with us. Every one of our teachers approach their lessons and instruments with enthusiasm and years of experience. We strive to create a positive learning environment for all of our students because we want them to excel!

We offer musical instruction in almost any instrument, including voice lessons and dancing lessons. In addition to our fantastic music teachers offering one on one instruction, we also offer group class, virtual lessons and classes, recitals, and merchandise! All of our students get discounts on merch and classes and free subscriptions to games and other resources.
As a violinist, I have just learned the positive effects that my craft is making. It has been a growing and healing experience to even think that what I love to do is actually healing my body and brain at the same time. Music has such an astounding influence on how we live, how we process information, and how restorative it can be for all.

We Provide top-tier instruction in music fundamentals with a focus on creativity and innovation while also fostering musicianship by employing highly qualified instructors who work together as partners both inside of school walls or outside it too! In 2020 Practice Makes Perfect opened and strives create a welcoming, safe space for people who love music.
Munchkins, Music and Me and Toddler Tunes are classes for ages 6mo-2yrs and 2-4yrs old that are focused on getting the little ones exposed to music. Babies and children are drawn to music and listening to music sung by their caregivers strengthens the bond between the child and adult. Music also helps children recognize sounds and rhythm in words which helps improve literacy skills and auditory memory. For class you will come in and sit on the carpet in a circle. We start with a welcome song where we learn everyone's names.
We offer musical theater classes for all ages and skill levels in both our Connellsville and our Greensburg locations. Read below for details about each specific class and location. This class will be held in repeating 6 week sessions. There will be a week or two break between each 6 week course. Exploring musical theatre fundamentals through a theme, group number and smaller numbers will be worked on in a masterclass style. The class will feature outside assignments on analysis/character work, and will be a more intensive theater course.

Owner
Aaron Gray is a pianist who, at the age of 8, started taking piano lessons under the tutelage of his grandmother, Frances. At St. Vincent, he held the position of Rehearsal Pianist for the music department and accompanied and served as the assistant music director for various performances, including the opera Beautiful Bridegroom by Dan Shore and for the departmental musicals. He has served as music director for various local community theaters, high schools and colleges, and has also played for Saint Vincent Summer Theater’s professional summer stock. Aaron has also served as the organist/music director at various churches and is currently the Music Director at Christ United Methodist Church in Scottsdale, Pa. He is also the studio accompanist for Soprano Maureen Miller. In the past, he has served as the associate conductor for Westmoreland Choral Society and was the accompanist for Murrysville Masterworks Chorale. He received his bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Saint Vincent College where he studied under Mr. Thomas Octave (Voice/Conducting), Fr. Cyprian Constantine (Organ), Mrs. Susanna Lemberskaya (Vocal Coaching/Accompaniment) and Mrs. Lisa Zubritsky (Piano). Aaron currently owns, operates and teaches at Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio, serves as a teacher for piano sensei, and Is a Community Music Program instructor at Seton Hill University.

We found PMP during the pandemic. We were partnered with Josie for virtual piano lessons. We couldn't believe how amazing the way she was able to form relationships with our kiddos AND help them learn their way around the keys without even being in the same room. (Which is huge for 8 and 11 year olds who are burned out on distance learning after the last few chaotic school years!) Everyone we have interacted with from lessons, to paperwork to payment has been amazing. I cannot recommend this company enough!

I’ve been taking voice lessons with Chelsea since February. As a beginner, I was admittedly nervous and self-conscious, but Chelsea has been extremely patient in helping me develop my skills and confidence to such a level that I even sang at my wedding in June! I look forward to each of my lessons and can’t wait to see how Chelsea will help me grow and learn as a musician

My daughter has taken voice lessons with Chelsea Ritenour for a few years now. Watching her grow and learn has been amazing. She makes her feel confident in whatever she sings. My daughter has been taking voice lessons from Aaron Gray for a year and a half and he is absolutely wonderful! She has issues with anxiety and he has worked with her how she needs and is great with kids. Knowing his standards, I am sure that all of the teachers in this group are nothing short of awesome! I absolutely recommend PMP!
