My experience with music began in middle school with private piano lessons, clarinet in a school band class & singing in a church youth choir. I soon moved to alto saxophone from clarinet. In high school I continued with sax, focusing on jazz, but also picked up tuba in concert & marching band. I auditioned on piano, saxophone & voice for U.N.C.G. I was accepted on all three. I chose to study voice & eventually went on to sing professionally for the Greensboro Opera Company chorus while still in school. Also while in school I marched on tuba (actually contra) with Carolina Crown in 1996 & the world champion Blue Devils in 1997. After graduation I moved to South Carolina where I now work for Pecknel Music Company in the Greenville store's print music department. I continue to sing professionally for area churches and was music director at the Greenville Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for a year and a half. I teach private lessons in theory, ear training, music history, and to a select clientele, voice. I am also available to instruct marching band horn lines in playing & marching. If you need anything music related (other than acoustic pianos which Pecknel does not deal in) then I'm your man! Please contact me and I'll be happy to help.

Pecknel Music has a wonderful selection. The staff is friendly and attentive. I always find what I am looking for and then some. Prices are very decent. My daughter is learning the piano and so it is helpful to find the next collection or book in her series inclusive of theory, practice books, and classical foundation pieces. We always find a few "fun songs" also, like Disney Books or music from soundtracks. Overall, we really enjoy visiting Pecknel Music.

Saturday, May 7th. Got there at 4:55pm and was greeted with doors locked and three reps behind a desk who saw me. Pulled the door and then knocked. Couldn't get anyone. Called the store and they said they couldn't help. I'm a business owner and this is not how to keep customers. I was looking right at the sign that said Saturdays: closed at 5pm. All I was doing was picking something up. Very dissatisfied. I'm sure they are great with their actual work but with customer service they are severely lacking.

Pecknel has been around as long as I can remember
We bought our daughter a used Silver trumpet.
Chuck was so nice helping me determine the best trumpet at a reasonable price
Then he had it disinfected and repaired within a day. I can’t thank them enough for all the help they gave us. I would recommend them to anyone

I stopped in here after running all over town trying to get an amp repaired. I needed it done same day since I was on tour. They didn't have the parts in, but called up a guy for me who repairs stuff out of his house and talked him into letting me bring it by. FInally got my amp fixed after a morning of driving all over to no avail--it was a huge relief! The guys at Pecknel did this at zero benefit to them, just to help me out. They seem like very honest guys. The store was nice and well stocked as well.

Great people, merchandise and company. Greenville is lucky to have this locally owned Musical Instrument company. Much more helpful and community involved than the big chain stores they have to compete with. Piano Central has an 85-year history in this region in piano sales/music education and we respect Pecknel Music. Greenville people should support this fine company.
