This offers a well-rounded foundation that will serve our students in whatever musical path they choose to follow.

Marisela Smith
Marisela Smith
founder and director
Marisela Smith, our studio's founder and director, began playing piano when she was 6 years old under the tutelage of Professor Sidonia Stern. Mrs. Stern was a renowned german instructor who focused heavily on theory and agility, nurturing Marisela's raw talent for music from an early age. She then attended the National Music Conservatory in Caracas, Venezuela where she was classically trained and learned performance, composition, theory, and music history.

Mrs. Smith first began teaching piano in 1982 after moving to the United States to study at the University of Pennsylvania. Her passion was to teach young students, which allowed her to develop the versatile and enjoyable teaching methods used at Brambleton Piano Studio. In her own words "It seems to me that music is a great gift, that it enriches lives, and that it should always be fun!"

Our 6 year old wanted to learn piano . We looked around and found Opus nearby. We looked at School of Rock and other places but it looked like they put all kids at one place and see and let them choose. The pricing is on par with music schools around the neighborhood. It was so nice taking to Mrs Smith and she knows her music. Mrs Smith understand small kids and knows how to guide and work with with them.

Our son loves the piano, In his own words " I like this music class, l can learn much better and faster, in my school, my music teacher are soo slow in class" Infact recently, he did his first concert, it was such a pleasure and it was in a performance arts studio He did well in just 2 months of classes. We love the school and thanks to Ms Kate, she knows how to work with kids with short attention span

I started taking piano lessons with Marisela since it first opened. I was actually one of her first students! Eventually, in high school I stopped playing piano and proceeded to take voice lessons at Opus Conservatory. I love the environment and everyone is so kind. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for music training.

Fantastic school. I can not say enough good things about the teachers, the theory, and approach to learning to love music. I have a 5 year old and this school is setting the foundation of musicality for a lifetime.
