Marcia Liddon, founder of Musical Starts has taught piano, creative movement and general music to children and adults of all ages since 1990. Marcia began her music studies at age six and continued her study of piano throughout her school years. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin, she undertook a course of study with the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music in London. Her teaching credits include: Music director at Sandia Heights Academy, Albuquerque, NM; piano instructor for Briarcliff School of Music, Austin, TX, and movement/drama instructor for Dance Associates, Austin, TX. She is currently a vocalist, keyboard and guitar player with the MC2 band.

Marcia is a wonderful teacher! I took piano lessons with her from elementary school up till high school. She's incredibly dedicated to her students, so patient, and super knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my time as her student, and I highly recommend anybody looking for music lessons to reach out to her!

My daughter has taken piano lessons from Miss Marcia since kindergarten and she graduated from high school this year. Under the program of Musical Starts, Miss Marcia helped my daughter become an outstanding musician. Her guidance, technique and patience is unsurpassed! We have not only a fine piano teacher here in the Lake Travis area, but a wonderful woman who has developed the talents of many children in our community.

I took some piano lessons from Ms. Marcia and highly recommend her. I am a guitar player that wanted to learn some basic piano. She specializes in children although she teaches adults as well. She has over 25 yrs of teaching experience and a BA from the University of Texas. She has a special talent to make music lessons fun and enjoyable and not so much like a school room class.
