I didn't grow up playing the piano. Through a series of events, I came to believe I wasn't musical. I frequently would say, "I don't have a musical bone in my body." Do you know someone like that? Despite this belief, I encountered the Simply Music program. I was so moved by the impact this program had on me (not only opening the door to playing the piano but in other areas of my life as well), I quit my eleven-year career in teaching High School mathematics and opened my studio. I love helping people take a journey they thought was never possible. My studio has many different kinds of students, including a 90-year-old man and 6-year-old blind student. Just great stuff.

FREE Introductory Session

Simply Music is so different than any other program out there. Why? The short answer is that we desire way better result. I have students improving / composing and playing great-sounding contemporary, classical, blues, jazz, and accompaniment pieces - immediately - from the very first lessons. Since this program is so different than traditional methods (approach and RESULTS) , I find it helpful to have a conversation with those interested in playing the piano.

This one hour session will create an understanding of this incredible program called Simply Music. Attendees will here "how" and "why" Simply music is so different, what the difference is between "reading-based" and "playing-based" piano programs, a demonstration of some of the pieces beginning students encounter (this isn't Mary Had a Little Lamb and songs about ponies) , a brief history of how the program came about, and a demonstration of a lesson.

At the end there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to enroll in a class. Invite friends, neighbors, and relatives that might be interested in going on this journey with you and being in your group. Life should be a community.

Please go to my website for more details on the next FREE Introductory Session (FIS) .

  • I would recommend this business
  • An organized way to learn to play songs from the very first lesson.

I took years of piano lessons and wound up only learning to play scales and the simplest children's songs. After nearly two years at Musical Bones, I'm playing a wide variety of songs and am enjoying piano after many years. Stan Munson is a very patient teacher who brings knowledge and enthusiasm to every lesson.

Business owner response:
Thanks Stephen. You are a great student and it has been my pleasure watching you grow as a great pianist. I love the depth you put into creating your own songs and your willingness to trust not only me but the process. As with all my students, that ability makes you extremely coachable. Your efforts are superb. You make teaching not only fun but easy. Thanks buddy.

Customer Testimonials

The "Musical Bones" technique helps encourage children not to be afraid to be creative when playing the keyboard. The technique that Stan Munson uses is an asset to beginners at the keyboard. My daughter loved taking weekly lessons with her group of peers and was never afraid to express her thoughts or creative endeavors. She misses her teacher, Mr. Munson, he is patient, kind, and has an enthusiastic teaching style that allows his students to engage in playing songs instantaneously! Thank you Musical Bones & Mrs. Munson for filling our life's with the gift of song.

If you want to learn how to play the piano then you need to come to Musical Bones Studio. Stan is an awesome guy that will take you on a musical journey that will leave you coming back for more lessons. Stan is fair, kind, patient, and will push you so that you can succeed.

I may have a biased opinion. MBStudio is about everyone not only being musical but profoundly musical. Just great stuff.
