Services
All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children. They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. All teachers are professional performing artists and certified Music Together teachers trained at the "Center for Music and Young Children" in Princeton, New Jersey.
I am a mother of two children, Virginia (3 years) and James (12 months). I enrolled both my daughter and my son at Music Together at St Luke's when they were 6 months. My kids have been in Music Together classes since they could sit up. My daughter has progressed from vocalizing and bopping along to the beat singing full songs with hand gestures.
With Music Together IN PERSON classes or Online Zoom classes, you'll have access to the same high-quality music and movement curriculum loved by millions of families and teachers around the world-from home! During each live, interactive class, your beloved Music Together in the City teacher will lead activities for you and your whole family to sing, dance, and play along to at home.
Foreign Language Music Classes are a great way to introduce your child to languages other than English. Take a journey into Spanish language and its cultures through the magical world of music! With Canta y Baila Conmigo you and your child will be transported as you sing, dance and play along to the irresistible sounds and rhythms of Spanish speaking countries. This is a Spanish immersion music class.

We absolutely love Music Together classes! Each of my 3 kids has been attending since 4-6months old. I HIGHLY recommend these classes for anyone with pre-school and younger-aged children.

-Teachers: All I've seen are beyond fantastic: friendly, talented, great with kids, extremely energetic and genuinely engaged!
-Music: The songs and instruments are always rotating throughout the "semesters" to keep it exciting and interactive
-Skills and Development: Best things (and you can see the changes!) for my kids have been the social interaction, sensory/motor development, and audio/visual/vocal development
-Overall: Its also been a great way to connect with other parents. We also use the Music Together app (literally every day) to play their favorites from class while in the car or around the house/at mealtimes.

We love Music Together in the City! We came to know Music Together in another state, and have been through several terms here in New York, beginning when our daughter was about 7 months old. We've spent the most time in the "Music Together with some Mandarin" class, which is a great support for families who want some exposure to the language. (It's perfectly comprehensible for people who don't speak any Mandarin.) I love how participatory Music Together is: caregivers are expected to sing and dance along with their kids, and that makes it more fun for everyone. Our daughter LOVES the songs, and we play them constantly on the Music Together app. I credit her developments with rhythm, pitch, pronunciation, and memory to Music Together -- she first started by singing the "Hello" song all the time, and now she knows enough to make (or sing) requests! Our teacher Qingyan is caring and patient, and she's very good at bringing our sometimes reserved daughter out of her shell. I can't recommend Music Together highly enough!
