The Music Institute of Chicago has taken a multi-faceted approach to improving diversity and inclusion within our organization. The first step was creating a Working Group for Diversity and Inclusion. Led by Trustees Barbara Sereda and Carlos Cardenas, the group is comprised of MIC faculty, staff, parents, students, and other interested community members.

Do your research about the composer and musician(s) before setting your expectations. We heard some great music, and some things that should probably not have been performed.

I love to hear chamber orchestral music at the Music Institute. It has excellent, affordable concerts in a very cozy music hall and there are always many different concerts to select from. I recommend to all music lovers: You must check this place out!
