Super affordable and my daughter always has a great time. What a great neighborhood resource! My daughter enjoys the day camps, dance classes, and is getting a solid musical foundation from her Suzuki violin lessons!

Our teaching artist team consists of working artists in Chicago from diverse backgrounds. We hire dedicated individuals who are interested in expanding their practice, and are open to learning and training. Our teachers enjoy being on a team of positive-minded artists looking to create progressive, performance-based and student-centered classes that focus on fostering a love of their art form.
An important mission of Music House is to make arts education available to everyone that wants to learn. We provide financial aid and scholarships to students based on financial need and availability in our funding. We ask students receiving financial aid to maintain regular attendance to classes. Financial aid may not be used for concert tickets or merchandise.
At Music House, our teachers believe in the Growth Mindset to help your child to develop healthy practice habits in class. We want to help foster an understanding of the correlation of hard work to meet goals. Students of Music House know that practicing something one time is not enough; when we ask our students "how many times should we practice this phrase to feel confident?"
The goal of Performing Arts Day Off Camp is to have fun while inspiring young artists to create and enjoy their day off! Campers will spend the day switching between instrumental music, dance, theater, and visual art classes with breaks to socialize in between. Campers will have a place to voice their creative visions and ideas in an encouraging, safe, and inspirational camp environment.

We first heard about Music House through our daughter's previous school. She took after school violin lessons with MH (and then a dance class on the weekends). Ashley and her team are great - they are passionate, enthusiastic and patient with the kids. In addition to the lessons, they are live savers during CPS closings. Not just the know school closings, but also emergency closings.
When it was announced last week that schools would close due to weather, an hour later, we got an email saying Music House would be offering a day camp. Super affordable and my daughter always has a great time. We've also used the space for a birthday party recently and it was a great experience. They're very laid back and flexible about what kind of party you want to have, they took care of the decorations, activities and clean up. We're so lucky and happy to have Music House in our neighborhood!
