From Our Website

Atlanta's finest guitar shop, with over 25 years experience in playing and selling guitars, teaching guitar lessons in Atlanta and guitar repair have enabled us to create an outstanding inventory of guitars -- which includes some of the finest guitars available worldwide by such recognized luthiers as Collings, Ramirez, Kohno, Martin, Lowden, Goodall, Santa Cruz, National Resophonic, Takamine, Taylor, Traphagen, Rein, Hill, Hirade and many others. We also provide the best in care and maintenance for our guitars through our excellent guitar repair department.

In recent years we've been fortunate to become Atlanta's go-to resource for repairs--thank you! As many of you already know, the impetus for us to build a repair facility was to ensure that we had the space and resources to properly vet and adjust our own inventory, in keeping with our continual effort to ensure that whatever we sell is a best quality example that performs to professional standard. However, balancing this mission with the additional workload generated by outside repair work has become a real challenge of late!

Maple Street Guitars is presently seeking a qualified repairman or luthier for a full-time position in our repair shop. In addition to servicing/repairing customer's instruments, this position would also entail preparation and maintenance of store stock. Applicants would be expected to have a solid understanding of general setup procedures and experience with routine repairs for all types of guitars including: crafting custom nuts and saddles from blanks, fret work, crack repairs (e.g., body and headstock), bracing repairs, bridge removal and re-glues, finish touch ups, acoustic and electric pickup installation, basic wiring, etc.

Though we are known for our outstanding selection of guitars and related instruments, Maple Street Guitars actually began as a lesson studio, and we have specialized in guitar lessons in the metro Atlanta area since 1981. Many of our teachers have themselves studied guitar, taught lessons and performed in Atlanta for an even longer time. They remain with us as friends and colleagues, building on a long tradition of effective guitar instruction. Our teachers cover a wide range of styles, and everyone teaches beginners as well as more advanced players.

Now that you've gotten that special guitar, how are you going to protect it? There are many choices in cases. Whether the issue is convenience or protection, we have the ideal product to suit your needs, from lightweight, economical gig bags to heavy-duty fiberglass flight cases. We carry many different brands including Calton, TKL, Hiscox, Mono, Martin, Cedar Creek, and Access. We can also assist you with custom solutions for unusual sized instruments. If you do not see what you need in our inventory, please inquire.

From a wide selection of strings and picks to hard-to-find small items like chord stamps, Maple Street stocks a large inventory of guitar accessories. In addition to many of the standard American picks by Dunlop and Fender, we have imported picks such as Wegen jazz and bluegrass picks and Pickboy and Golden Gate picks from Japan. Guptill Pro-Piks are another big seller. We have pegwinders, capos, slides, metronomes, electronic tuners, music stands, guitar stands and straps galore. In fact, if you can't find what you need here, give us a call, and we will do our best to track it down for you.

In addition to stocking guitars, we also stock a variety of other instruments including mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, chordharps, and bouzoukis. We select these instruments for quality and diversity from such builders as Collings, Gold Tone, Deering, Kala, LP Percussion, Fender, Alvarez, National, Hohner, and others.
