From Our Website

New World Music School of Orlando is a quality music school that teaches lessons for piano, guitar, violin, bass, drums, trumpet, flute clarinet, saxophone, Puerto Rican & Venezuelan Cuatro, Cuban Tres, Congas, Timbales, and Bongo. Established in 1997, we have been teaching music for more than 20 years, making a difference in people's lives through the study of music. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you achieve them. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities and are extremely friendly & dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn.

If you are a beginner and are eager to learn the Puerto Rican or Venezuelan cuatro, but you're not sure where to start, don't panic! We have created lessons that are fun and simple, but that will teach you everything you need to know about how to become a great cuatro player. Our great cuatro teachers teach the fundamentals of cuatro performance. If you have always wanted to play cuatro in the different styles such as aguinaldos, seis, mazurkas, danzas or parranda music then we have the right cuatro teachers for you.

Our trio plays in many private events and entertains with instrumental Latin Jazz music and many well-known standards. The energy of this trio makes the music sound like there are 6 musicians playing.

Summer Recital Congratulations to all the students who participated in our Summer Recital. Our recital took place at Arte Borikua on Sunday, June 1 at 3:30pm All students did a great job! Congratulations to Arte Borikua, they just celebrated their second anniversary on Saturday May 24, 2014. The owners Vidal and his wife Wanda have been doing an outstanding job in maintaining this valuable cultural venue.

Learning to play the piano is a lot of fun, and with the right lessons, anyone can become a great piano player. However, to be successful it's important to pick the right learning method and stay focused. Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. Our piano faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons.

We teach all styles from Classical, Latin, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Country, and Blues regardless of the instruments that you learn: Piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice, bass, cuatro, tres, ukulele, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, conga, bongo and timbales. That question is often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. A seven year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.

Our saxophone teachers teach the fundamentals of saxophone performance. If you have always wanted to be a better classical, latin, rock, pop, country or jazz player, then we have the right saxophone teachers for you. Students spend time each week doing scales exercises, long tones, technique exercises, note reading and their favorite songs. Just let the teacher know on what songs you want to focus on. All saxophone students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite musician, or if they prefer, to develop their tone identity.

Whether you are just starting out for the first time or honing old skills, we can teach you how to read and write music or just quickly learn to play your favorite songs. If you have the time to practice, you can learn to play drums. Our drum instructors teach rock, latin, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles. Drum language can be complex and our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve your speed and comfort. All drummers bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons and theory is encouraged.
