Great spot to get your gear or lessons. My daughter has been getting lessons for a few months now, and she loves going. They are very helpful and don't try to sell you misc. stuff.

I am updating my review to 5 stars. The GM, Steve, and his staff, especially Monique were very receptive to my earlier problem being left on hold. Turns out it was a phone issue. I had a trial lesson today with Jared and was very pleased. I signed up for their monthly program to learn ukulele. Thanks Steve!

Finally, in person learning from music instructors. I should posted this about 8 months ago, better late than never. The staff is friendly always willing. My daughters instructor name is Jared who is teaching her guitar. She has learned the basics from jungle bells to La Bamba. Jared showed my daughter many different cords and strums. I would definitely visit La Habra musics. The staff does wear mask!

Very cordial staff with incredible scope of item offering. Unique because of the person who let me attempt a wide range of guitars and amps, not something you'd insight in the bigger chainstores. Will make certain to return!

I highly recommend this location for music lessons. My daughter has been going for over a year and my son just started. All the staff is so friendly and helpful! Mr. Kirk is an outstanding piano instructor. He is so patient and encouraging with my kids! Overall, a fantastic experience!

Purchased a new G&L Tribute ASAT Classic blemish free for the price of a used one that had a flat high E string not noticeable during the test run. I fixed the problem with a proper setup, string change to DR Blues 10's and a go through tightening of the loose tuners, etc. Now she sings properly! Factory issue not the seller! Kyle offered to refund or repair!

They didn't have a molded hard case to fit but lent me a soft case to get her home in with a refundable deposit if I returned it the next day unblemished. Monique went above and beyond to help me out.

Honestly the best music store I've been to. Has a wonderful atmosphere, a helpful and hardworking staff, and a plethora of high quality merchandise. Even through the quarantine they have been doing lessons via zoom and are starting to do them in person once again! There classes are amazing, the teachers are accepting of all levels of skill, and are really helpful to help you improve your chopps. HIGHLY recommend, you should check it out

My first time here, was purchasing strings for my nephews acoustic. I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for but the clerk helped me out right away. They even offered to string the guitar for me. Great environment, Everyone was friendly and super helpful. Will definitely recommend!

I've been buying instruments and accessories from La Habra Music for at least ten years, and I've never had a bad experience. I think the selection of instruments is more geared towards beginners and students (being that it's a music school) and thus isn't as large as you would find at a bigger store, but they also have a small but decent selection of higher end stuff, I bought a very nice PRS Guitar from here last year as a Pandemic treat to myself.

The staff always seems friendly and knowledgeable, and their guitar tech Alex is the only person I trust with setting up and fixing up my instruments, every time I've gotten something back from him it looked, sounded and played infinitely better than it did before I sent it in.

Stopped in to take a look at the guitar selection (my little one has been wanting to start playing) and the woman there (I believe her name was Monique) was extremely nice and helpful! I also appreciated that they were following covid guidelines for every person that entered the store! They took everyone's temperature when we walked in, were wearing masks and definitely social distanced from us, the customers, and from each other. Definitely felt very safe! I will definitely be returning here soon should my little one want to start another instrument!

As a store to go and get basic supplies/ a first instrument, it is great. I will give this store my business.

I run Mysterium Theater in La Habra and we have been partnering with the La Habra Music Center for 5 years. They do their bi-yealy recitals in my theater and when we need instruments for our shows, they loan them to us. It has been a wonderful relationship and in this climate of get rid of the arts, we are grateful to have them keeping music alive and helping us keep theater alive!

Stopped in to check out the ukulele selection! They had the cutest little ukes! I got a little one for my nephew and he loved it! I recommend this place to anyone who would like to support mom and pop shops.

My sons saxophone was leaking air and I took the saxophone to the shop for repair. The staff was very friendly and the gentleman behind the counter fix my sons saxophone in 30 seconds for no charge. Store carries a lot of the merchandise that is needed for the saxophone. I will definitely be back again and recommend it to others.

My 10 year old daughter started taking violin lessons at La Habra Music Center. We came across them while searching for direction on accessories and options for my son's middle school band introduction to trumpet. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. We asShe has made amazing progress in the 6 months she has attended lessons. Teacher Grace is just wonderful and so talented at playing, teaching and challenging children while creating fun and love for music.

The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and so understanding and accommodating. Monique is just amazing, kind and so very helpful if any parent or student needs help, direction, or with any questions regarding instruments or lessons. We have referred several of our friends here and plan to continue to have our children attend lessons as they progress with their music exploration. Thank you La Habra music for making our experience so wonderful.

Monique was super helpful in getting my little brother the right strap he needed for his guitar.

My son took lessons with a good teacher here for a little over a year. The teacher was friendly and accommodating, as were the clerks at the desk. We made arrangements to skip a month because of a long family vacation. A month later I noticed we were charged for the month, so I called the store and they apologized and promised to credit it. Three months later my son decided he wasn't learning anything new, so we informed the store that he would not be attending.

Despite this, they charged for two more months (and credit one of these back after a fight), and never credited the vacation month. The owner was extremely rude and had a different excuse for their action with every call. It is clear he was being deceptive and extremely short-sighted to turn a somewhat positive customer experience into a very poor one.

Great selection and knowledgeable staff! Very friendly neighborhood spot. Monique is very helpful and takes time to explain the answers to any questions I have.

My daughter has been taking music lessons here for 4 years. Her flute instructor is excellent and knowledgeable. She is really bonded to him and enjoys her lessons. John is always willing to help her with school music but always adds to it so that she continues to be challenged. The music rentals are at a reasonable price and include cleanings. The front staff is knowledgeable about which instruments are the best and you can trade your instrument if you change your my mind and the money spent is credited to a new instrument.

I have read reviews with complaints that they are not willing to give make UPS on lessons, but I have always been able to change a lesson when needed. Another complaint I read was the front staff is rude.so NOT true. Monique and the other staffers have always been nice and friendly, always willing to help you.

This place sucks. at least for cleaning and repairs. I took my sax in for a cleaning because my bell had marks on it and it came back dirtier than before! Also, I had to take it in for a repair because one of the prices that attaches the b key and high f key fell off and I couldn't fix it. I had to take it in 3 times before they actually fixed it.

This place deserves a zero star. I came here to rent a violin even though they had terrible reviews. I should have followed my instincts and gone somewhere else. The guy said they didn't have the size I was looking for, but would have one transferred from another location in SIX DAYS. I gave them a chance and waited, only to call them on the sixth day to make sure the violin was there before I went to pick it up, and the same guy ever so casually tells me they brought over the WRONG VIOLIN. No apology, no nothing. Never coming back here again.

I took my teenage daughter here to find a gift for a friend. She knew nothing about claranets, but they were very patient with her. They helped her pick out a great gift. It is now our go-to music store. We receive much better care than the larger chain stores. I have seen them treat us customers, that often have no idea what we are looking for, with just as much respect and care as their knowledgable musician customers. Thank you for always giving us a great experience!

Scheduled sample lesson with them a week ago. I asked for an appointment at 5:00 Monday. They emailed me a confirmation for a 5:30 appointment. OK, no big deal, I can do 5:30. I show up at 5:20, they tell me I'm late for the 5:00 appointment. I tell them they emailed me 5:30. They said that's a mistake, we sent you another email to confirm 5:00. No, La Habra Music, you did not send me that email. The only email I received says 5:30. They were rude on top of it. There are other places for lessons.

Supposedly I financed something here when I was 15. I called and told them multiple times that the financed item was under my father's name. They told me they switched it and it was taken care of. Now I have $1400 due to a collection agency. I am now getting a lawyer involved because they obviously can't keep track of paper work.

Many years ago my daughter took piano lessons from Sandy. Recently I was going thru some files to destroy and came across some paperwork. I remembered a credit of about $40.00 or so. When I called, I spoke to a man and then a woman, but never the owner who was the son of the previous owner. I asked Monique why the "new owner" never called me and she said oh they had discussed the matter and that that business was the previous owner' s issue. Really?

They discussed it and they did not have the courtesy or professionalism to have the "busy" new owner call me. They should either learn how to be professional business people or leave the business. Their bookkeeper should have said there is a credit due and should have made arrangements.

I recently purchased a guitar here for my son. It was a Christmas gift and is first. The staff is by far the most knowledgeable out there. Yes, I ran around town and price checked and got lots of advice. In fact I spent about an hour looking at learning about the different guitars at La Habra Music. I left and a few days later came back to make my purchase.

They were so patient and love their instruments. I walked around Guitar Center for 20 minutes and no one even said hello. At Guitar Center the instruments are just stacked in boxes and felt "cheap" that wasn't what I wanted for my first purchase. La Habra Music offers lessons and rentals as well! It's great to receive personal attention by people who love and respect music! I will be back for lessons and accessories soon!
