From Our Website

Founder/owner, Joy Pappas, is a graduate of San Diego State University where she studied music and performed as a soloist and with ensembles. She has taught, directed and performed music throughout San Diego-for school districts, churches, choirs and private performances. At Joyful Keys Music Studio, we have taught students from all walks of life-from children to seniors, from beginners to advanced, and preparing students for audition and performing-locally and nationally. We provide higher quality instruction than is normally available at affordable rates.

Joyful Keys Music Studio provides the opportunity for students to participate in recitals. This serves as a goal to work toward and allows students to perform pieces they have been studying and practicing. Recitals are held in a professional venue reserved for our use. There, students are able to perform in front of an understanding audience of family and friends. We provide higher quality instruction than is normally available at affordable rates. We tailor the lessons to the individual and work at a pace appropriate for each student.

Joyful Keys provides online music lessons via Zoom video-conferencing. It is a simple process-all you need is a computer, tablet or phone with a camera that does video. Joyful Keys sends you an e-mail invitation for your lesson. You log in and you are ready to begin. Just as in the studio, your lessons take place on your pre-arranged day and time, but in the comfort of your home. Your instructor, Joy, teaches the lessons using her computer and piano. Your device faces your piano so she can watch your keyboard and hands as you play.
