Janet RayorJanet Rayor
private vocal teacher, school musical vocal coach

Janet Rayor learned early how to teach creatively, effectively, and passionately from her brilliant mother, an award-winning teacher and teacher of teachers!

As a teacher, she has taught privately off and on for over twenty years. Over the last two years, she's taught university workshops and been the vocal teacher for Summit High School's musicals, gaining the trust of students and teachers for her successful work with teenagers.

Janet Rayor has performed roles with 5th Avenue Theater, Seattle Opera, Opera Pacifica, Broadway Performance Hall's Allegro!, and NOISE in the Northwest. Her French band, Rouge, for over ten years has performed concerts, festivals, and fundraisers nationally. Early on she
won lead roles and solos 3rd grade-high school, was one of three in her school to qualify for state classical choir, and began private vocal training at 11 yrs. On graduation, she received a merit scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis. Still in her teens, she was accepted to NYU's Theatre program, NYC's Circle in the Square Summer Intensive, and Shakespeare & Company's intensive month study. She left college early to be a repertory member of a professional theater company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She performed over a dozen leading singing and acting roles with rave reviews at various theaters in Colorado before making Seattle her home-base.
