HAA offers private music instruction by highly-qualified instructors in all these styles, as well as the opportunity to try out your new musical skills in one of our ensembles!

Hunterdon Academy of the Arts offers multiple Rock Band workshops through the year. Each of these workshops ends with a public concert -- i. e., the "battle of the bands"!

Hunterdon Academy of the Arts has been offering the award-winning programs of Kindermusik since 1981. Today HAA features one of the nation’s most distinguished, privately owned Kindermusik programs. At the 2006 and 2007 conventions of Kindermusik International in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Schaumburg, Illinois, respectively, our studio was recognized for hosting the largest Kindermusik Young Child program in the world! More recently, we were awarded the coveted title "Maestro" by Kindermusik International. This puts us in the top 1% of Kindermusik studios worldwide! Designed for children ages newborn to 7 years old, Kindermusik is the world's leading early-childhood music and movement program. It was written in collaboration with experts in every field of child development. The curriculum is based on carefully documented research confirming that music enhances a child's language, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills and self-esteem.

The long-standing Hunterdon Youth Choir is intended for students in Grades 1 through 6. Consisting of Training Choir and Advanced Choir, this group has performed statewide in youth festivals, community concerts, and benefits for local charities for more than 10 years.

Join some of the best young musicians in our community! Perform with the HAA Youth Orchestra! Players should be 8 to 18 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of lesson experience on their instruments. Players of all orchestral instruments welcome!

Founded in 2008 and directed by Rosemary Nagy, Bel Canto Singers is our Concert Choir. Bel Canto Singers represents a women-only group comprised of up to 30 highly motivated, ambitious young singers, grades 7 and up. Striving for excellence in choral performance, this ensemble requires an audition for new members.
