Guitar Lessons Given in Your Home
My name is Steve Burcheri and I've been teaching guitar in the Scranton/Clarks Summit area for over a decade. I have an easy going, results driven teaching style. Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of music as well as a variety of styles and techniques all based on each individual's needs and interests.
I'd recommend Steve to anyone interested in learning to play guitar, bass, drums, or anything else he teaches. His approach is friendly and helpful and he is an extremely skilled player. I'm 33 years old and have been playing guitar for 17 years. Being self-taught, there are a lot of gaps in my understanding of the guitar and music in general. I set out to learn better technique, understand some of the theory behind what I was learning, and simply become a better guitar player. In the four months I've been taking weekly lessons, I can see a significant difference in my ability and understanding. It's awesome having a teacher come right to my house, too. He's flexible, easy going, and a natural teacher.
From Our Website
I will happily provide references upon request. If you like, you can talk to current or former students about my services. I have been teaching for over a decade and have developed a casual but results driven style and approach. I'm also flexible with scheduling and will make every effort to make sure you get your money's worth. I have students who require a very rigid schedule and those who need every lesson of every week to be a different time and day. This is the only way they can do it and, incidentally, these are some of my best students.
First of all, I don't actually go around calling myself GuitarSteve as there are a lot of guys named Steve who play a mean guitar themselves. Case in point: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Vai, and Steve Cropper just to name a few. The name GuitarSteve is just a catchy name for a website, so there you go: GuitarSteve.com. I've even dedicated a page HERE to all my favorite Steves who play guitar. As for myself, I have been playing guitar since I can remember and my dad, being a musician and a music teacher, always had instruments around the house.
All students are moving forward but some are really surging ahead. Here's this week's top ten. If you don't see your name here, pick up your axe and head to the woodshed. Matt B: Doing great with all the material, including classical guitar, rock soloing, improvisation. Victoria D: Had a big light bulb moment and nailed the timing on the song she's been working on. Regina V: When Regina practices she leaves everyone in the dust and she did that last week. Look out. Brandon C: Oh my God! Talk about a massive improvement in a short time.
